About me

Hi! I’m an Associate Director in Global AI & Advanced Analytics at BioNTech in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where I was affiliated with the Persistent Autonomy and Robot Learning (PeARL) lab.

I enjoy leading GenAI initiatives end-to-end from setting strategy and defining capability-based roadmaps to building operating models that help teams execute consistently. I work across research and engineering, translate stakeholder needs into clear milestones and quality gates, and drive build-vs-buy and vendor strategy to balance speed, reliability, and long-term ownership.

My interests broadly lie in building reliable, production-ready GenAI systems, especially modular capability design, knowledge grounding, stateful orchestration, and multi-agent collaboration. I work with patterns such as agent-to-agent coordination and workflow-driven agents (e.g., LangGraph), and leverage tool/RAG frameworks (e.g., LangChain) and standardized tool/data access approaches (e.g., MCP) to make these systems scalable and maintainable.

Before moving to the US for my Ph.D., I was a machine learning engineer at CicekSepeti and SoftTech in Turkey, my home country. I am trained as a computer scientist and engineer, holding a master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Sabanci University and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Izmir Institute of Technology.

Besides work, I hike, bike, play chess, strum my acoustic guitar, and pretend to understand quantum physics.
